John Clark-Hughes

Engineering Manager

John is a Chartered Civil Engineer and member of the British Tunnel Society with over 35 years industry experience and joins C2V+ after six years working on Thames Water projects for CH2M. John has extensive experience in the project management and contract administration of large multi-disciplinary projects and framework contracts, giving him first-hand experience of collaborative working. In particular, he has a strong track record in the water, tunnelling and highways sectors.

John is in the rare position of having experience of working as a contractor, designer and client in the past. As a result, he has a full understanding of the qualities each brings to a project and conversely, the difficulties and business challenges that each face and looks to find the best solutions.

John is responsible for the delivery of all outline and detailed design work for a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects in the North West of England. Project values vary up to £100m individually with a total framework value to the C2V+ Joint Venture of £400m.

John provides strategic leadership at the C2V+ board meetings and works alongside the programme director to maximise the performance of the joint venture.
